I want to replace the rectifyer. I notice the one that is on the motor doesnt have a purple wire coming from it. Yet all the pics of replacements show the purple wire. Does this sound accurate to not have a use for the purple wire?
That motor uses a water cooled voltage regulator, right? My replacement VR was an exact fit and utilized the purple wire. If you are not using it, make sure it won't short out. Tape it up well.
