1998 johnson 150 oceanrunner

Hi, Im having a problem that i just cant seem to fix. The engine will start and perform as it should but after about 5 minutes of running, instead of going into low idle it shuts off abruptly. It isnt showing symptoms of gas like the bogging down and low and high rpm before shut off, it just stops.

If you guys need anymore info about the situation let me know this is a dire emergency!!

Can you check the heads for overheating? Put a hand on the heads. Proper temp will let you leave hand on head for 3-5 sec. depending on how much you have in common with G. Gordon Liddy.

Let us know if heads are ice cold, warm or scalding. Check both heads...
