Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it’s a major fix. There’s only a crack on this side not the other side. Can I use JB weld or replace the cover? Or do you think I’m gonna have to replace the whole unit.

That is typically from that mount swelling with corrosion, cracks the cover. The mount can be a bugger to get out, but can be done. Take off the cover and see what your dealing with. Maybe can clean it out, trim it put new cover on. Otherwise its a job.

broken bolt.. top right ??? looks like the thing will break up if removed.

up to you... have you considered just Dremmelling the crack and filling it it various epoxy putties or JB weld , sanding and applying a some matching paint. ?

Crosby, good catch on the bolt.....OP I'd say your "doomed". Do what you can with patching and painting and run for as long as you can. Motor is corroded and just removing bolts will take weeks.

Good luck.

Gee, I agree with rothfm. Pull the cover as best as you can. Midsections are hardly ever damaged, so salvage yards are full of them. See if you can fix yours. Broken bolts in the cover or steering arm cover can be removed using a pipe wrench. Drilling SS bolts is a problem.
