I need to replace the steering (arm and shaft) assembly on a 98 Johnson 115. The model stamped is J115TSLECM. I believe this to be a 20" shaft according to the model number. However, when I pull a schematic for the steering assy, it doesnt look like the same head of the shaft (where it mates to the motor). The manufacturer date is June 1997. Anyone have any experience with this? Will the parts mix and match or should I just order the replacement part for the 115TSLECM?

A little more detail on what I'm looking at...

Mine looks more like #7:

Part that is called for is #20:

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
