My motor idles great and runs great on plane but has a little choke to it around 1000 to 1300 (idle speed) and after sitting on the beach all day it takes about 10 key turns for it to start but it will start up fine after sittin for an hour or so. its like its loosing prime or flooding itself. i was wondering if anyone knew what this might be? was thinking about changing the primer ball and see if that helps with the starting issue. any input is helpful. thanks

Does the bulb get hard when you prime it ?? When's the last time the plugs were replaced and indexed ??

yes the bulb gets hard but gets soft after running it. i barely ever have to mess with it. even after sittin or a few weeks on the trailer itll start on the first turn. it only happens when im at the beach. i just changed the plugs a few months back and yes i indexst them.

the boat sat for a few years before i bought it. the motor runs a little better with the new plugs and filters but still has that roughness around idle speed. theres 2 times that ive takin it out that the roughness went away for a few and it ran perfect so i was thinkin is was bc it sat for so long and just needed to be ran but it still hasnt went away competely.
