I wound a rope up in my prop when ideling in forward. It was hard to pull lever back to neutral. Now motor jumps in reverse. Seems to engage fine under low power but jumps under moderate throttle.
It chatters like the cogs are not fully engaging. It works ok under mild throttle. The lever in the top of the engine seems to be moving all the way. It was a little hard to shift into neutral when the rope was tangled. I wonder if the rod that goes to the lower unit is light enouth that it would bend easily.
