You will likely need to document and label the wires so that you connect the ones that go to the OEM boat side outboard engine harness and so you can run custom wires for the boat specific items that do not connect to the engine harness. (Live well, bilge pump, nav lights, fishfinder, etc.)
It is recommended to put the custom ones in flexible wire tubing if they can be grouped together.
