With Christmas behind us, my daughter and her husband left and headed back to Denver. And I got 15 of the 37 items on my outdoor work done!

So today, with the help of my assistant, I had a chance to get that box open for a look. 😸

Lots of paperwork included. :sneaky:

I used my test battery and got it hooked up. Pretty darned impressive! Demo mode showing.

Multi-tasking is a lie..... best you can do is switch-tasking. especially on the throne......
Scott, I'll respectfully disagree. Multi-tasking is possible. It's just that not very many people can do it.

When I was working as a Mission Controller at JPL, I simultaneously monitored 11 voice networks while watched a dozen data screens. It was like a fusion of everything but I, and others like me, understood what was going on with the spacecraft, ground system, NASA Deep Space Network as well as the other teams in the room with me (us). My favorite job in the space biz.

I posed the question to AI and got this response:
Monitoring 11 voice networks while watching multiple data screens is unequivocally a complex form of multitasking. This activity requires concurrent attention to various streams of information and the ability to process, prioritize, and respond to multiple inputs simultaneously, which is a key characteristic of multitasking [1, 2].
It involves a high cognitive load due to the need to:

  • Monitor diverse audio channels (the 11 voice networks).
  • Observe and interpret various visual inputs (the data screens).
  • Synthesize information from both sources.
  • Switch attention rapidly and effectively between different tasks as required.
This scenario describes a high-demand operational environment, similar to roles in air traffic control, emergency dispatch, or command and control centers, where the ability to manage multiple simultaneous information feeds is critical.

So you can listen to 11 people talk at the same time, and see 12 things at once, and comprehend what you are seeing and hearing ?

You keep telling yourself that.
Its been disproved many times.
You may be fast at switching between said tasks, but you are not doing them simultaneously.

And current forms of AI are plagued with lots of false results.

Now, when is this boat going to be done. There are fish to catch.
