Greetings, I'm about to re power my boat with a 90 HP motor but currently it is using two 6.5 gallon removable tanks. I would like to put a tank under the deck but the hull design makes it look like it's impossible to place it somewhere that the boat would maintain ballance. Anyone have any experience with this boat that could help me out would be great

Welcome aboard.

I wouldn't call a Logic a common boat. Got any photos to share so we can give some ideas?

Unfortunately the boat isn't made anymore, I believe the company that bought them is Triumph Boats but they don't have any information on the Logic brand. I have a photo but I get an error when I try to post it

If yours is built like a 2000 17ftr, you face some challenges.

Tank shape and below deck structure

Did you buy the boat new?

Wonder if they changed the design by 2000, or it was an option to get a below deck tank by then?

A funky shaped OEM tank probably wouldnt be out of balance enough to even notice, IMO.

That's the picture I was trying to upload, it's not my boat but it is the exact same boat I own. Thanks ! Currently I have two red plastic removable tanks, both are damaged and need to be replaced but they don't make that particular size anymore. They also only hold 13 gallons of gas combined which is a problem with a 90 HP motor. That's why I'd like to put one under the deck. No, the boat was purchased used

No idea how big that OEM tank is, but I suspect it'll be very tough to find

To dit a tank below deck the deck has to come up. If theres any sign of water intrusion, it all should come up. Then redesign the stringers and deck support to accommodate a 'normal' shaped tank.

Does yours have a splashwell an above deck permanent tank could be put under?

The OEM tank appears to have been at the transom based on the filler neck and the filler hose routing

The entire boat is foam injected PVC, no way to redesign the structure. The picture above is with the deck off so you're looking at the channels where the tank/tanks would have to go. The OEM tank in the picture would not fit on my boat because of the room under the center console. Can you make two separate tanks and connect them with fuel lines ? Just fill the two separately? I'd like the new tank to be completely under the deck (except for the fill obviously) lol. The boat is extremely light, 700 lbs with no motor, I didn't want to put all the weight on the stern of the boat and theres not much room for a tank that would be big enough to supply the motor
