Just purchased a used boat with the 120 Force on it. This motor was completely rebuilt with a new powerhead just 2 hours ago. When I first start it in the water there is no water coming from the pee hole at idle RPM, once I increase RPMs water flows normally. It doesn't seem to be overheating. When I put the muffs on to rinse the saltwater out of the engine at idle there is no water out of pee hole but there is water coming out of the exhaust, I haft to increase RPM substanually to get any water out of it. I don't want to do any damage to this engine. Is this normal or do I have a problem?
Thanks for all your help

Welcome to iboats doctor.

You should get a steady stream of water from the pee hole on that motor.

Start by replacing the water pump impeller and the thermostat.

Find the thread in this section about installing a tell tale so you know the water pump is working. A simple but very efftive project.

Best wishes
