Hi I am sure this is a old Question,but it is new to me. I am buying a 18 ft boat and trailer with a 25 hp 1997 Evinrude. The seller told me that the oil injection punp was fouling plugs so he disconnected it and runs premix fuel. This boat and motor were new in 97 and used 2 seasons for a fishing and hunting lodge in the north. The lodge was sold and he kept the boat. So the motor has very few hrs on it should I get the injection pump repaired? Or so I just run Premixed fuel. And is there a special oil that is better or best to use. I will be useing the boat mostly for fishing . Thanks for all the help....Hanky in Canada
