ABSOLUTELY, if you had it checked out and all was well that is as nice of a 1997 boat as their is in its class. My smaller 1995 CC Concept has been a dream. I only wish I were in the market now that it has crashed as the deals are out there. A late 90's well maintained CC with a Volvo Package to me is a best buy

i think you're nuts for not making it contingent upon surveyor inspection though. a couple hundred bucks could save you much more if they find anything.
you don't say what size it is, but i would say jump on it. i have a 99 Chris Craft deckboat, with the 5.7, super boat. we paid twice that for it. 3 years ago.
Very good deal. I have a 99 20' CC bowrider and very happy for the ~1000 hrs I have put on it. Buddy has 97 21' CC bowrider and also very pleased. Volvo stuff is better then Mercuiser IMO.
