i have just rebuilt my carbs and choke solenoid,i have a electric fuel pump i installed mid last year.motor runs great once i get it started,but....i have to open choke valve (red knob) after i crank a few times to purge,seems to be vapor locked till i do that,then starts fine? not sure whats up and am i screwing something up?

Is the choke solenoid passing fuel when you push the key in?
Doesn't your engine have a VRO system? How did you install an electric fuel pump, do you have some type of safety device in it so that if you break a fuel line it will stop pumping fuel to prevent a fire hazard?
