1997 3.0XL carb rebuild kit

I am trying to find a good rebuild kit. I don’t want to try to Decipher the crap on Amazon to find a good one, and I can’t figure out which kit I need from west marine.

Anyone with experience or know what kit? I would greatly appreciate it, as right now we are on land, and I believe that boats are meant for the water.

Best way to know what kit is with a serial number
Next best is contact Mikes's carb. He will fix you up right and if its not right when you get it he will make it right

Looking for the motor serial number. If we know what kind of carb then we can make a good guess at the kit number

Might be a 2GC, Merc, other or TKS

What is the carb number off the side of the carb float bowl take that and call Mikes carb parts

Got the carb number and called Mikes. Got the kit on the way. Still not sure what carb I have but is was not the standard kit.

Always had good tech support from Mike's. Post a picture of the carb we can probably ID it. Does it have one or two idle mixture screws ?

If it is the factory carb it will be a mercarb.
