Hey guys! Long time no see lol.
I have a little problem with my engine. When Im docked and the engine is running, it shoots raw gas from the exhaust I can see films of gas being formed in the surface of the water. Then when I leave dock and we are under way it doesnt stay at full throttle for long. When I give it full throttle it gets 5500 RPM but after a short time it drops to 4000 RPM and it stays there for the whole trip. No over heating or anything. Any ideas on what can this be?
I already rebuilt the carbs, and the fuel pumps. I also checked the spark plug electronics and they check out fine so I'm out of ideas.

That looks close to a model #, is there anything in front of the 225?

sounds like you still have a fuel pump leaking extra fuel into crankcase, a carb flooding, or you are loosing spark on 1 or more cylinders.
How did you test the ignition system components?

I have the manual for this engine and with an ohm meter checked that all electronic components were up to specs, the sparkplug caps, the coils, etc....

Best to check peak voltages with a peak reading meter made just for these ignition voltages or a DVA adapter and regular meter like the manual states to make sure it is not dropping spark.
A inductive timing light will show spark problems some times if you hook to the different plug wires
