1996 sears gamefisher 9.9

i cant get it to start. the spark plugs firing but it still want crank. can anybody help, dont really know to much about it

is it getting fuel?. carb(s) may need cleaning, old gas?

Check to see if the plugs are wet from fuel when trying to start. If they arent then your not getting fuel try checking fuelines and filters and clean out the carb. Update us if you are getting fuel to spark plugs.

im working on getting my Gamefisher 9.9 running after sitting for a few years and i found a fuel diaphram near the fuel filter had a hole in it and was filling up the cylinder with gas (obviously hard to pull start at that point. Had spark and all but would only kick on starter fluid. You could check it out, you may have the same problem

Yea its geting fuel on the spark plugs

i always had luck by heating the spark plugs with a propane torch for about 15 seconds, put them back into the engine again and try to start.

Remove bowl and jets soak in rubbing alcohol overnight. Blow out holes with compressed air.
