Well, I know there is a lot of topics out there relating to the subject, but maybe not this exact model. I have a 1996 Johnson 25 J25TELEDA. I believe that in this motor the 20, 25, 30, and 35 all have the same block. If I am not mistaken, I should be able to strap a 35 hp intake manifold and carb to the front of this thing and convert it to a 35. I was looking at the parts though, and it looks like I may only be able to use a 30 hp manifold and carb. Is this right, and if I can use the 35, could someone point out the specific parts to make this mod? Thanks for any help guys.

It's likely that you have a manifold that will accept the 30/35 hp carb right now. I have several of these motors and they are easily modified. I believe that the difference between the 30 and 35 hp motors is a matter of how they are rated not how they are assembled. Get yourself a carb and bolt it on. Make sure that the opening in your manifold is at least as large as the bore of the carb and it should work fine.
