Run great 15 min then no power, only creeps along. Replaced thermostat, gas lines and cleaned the carb. Now when you give it Throttle, starts to take off then, then no power only creeps along.

Clean internal carb filters, replace voltage regulator. Your ski may be 24 years old, but it can be repaired indefinitely. And yes, you should run a compression check too. If the above items are checked to be good, then I would look at the clearance between the rotary valve and cover. It might have some wear and need to have a little machined off the lip to bring it back into spec.
