1996 fourwinns alarm problem

i have a 1996 fourwinns fling with a 115 hp (omc, evinrude) motor i took out for the first time saturday and it ran great for about a half hour. when i was headind back to dock an alarm started sounding maybe every 30 secs. i was wondering what all could set off the alarm ? and how to decide witch it is thank you.

I have a 95 Rage with the same jet. A steady alarm means overheating. If I remember right an intermittant alarm means low oil pressure or low oil tank. overheating is a freq problem on engines without a strainer for the raw water.
