I have a 1996 Evinrude 60hp EFI on a 16 Sunbird, binnacle mount shifter. It has not been started in a few years. After a few unsuccessful attempts to start it, I turned off the ignition key and the starter kept running. I had to disconnect the battery to shut it off.

I read in a similar post here to try to identify where the short is (ignition, harness or solenoid) by disconnecting the start terminal from the ignition switch. I pulled off the ignition switch and noticed that it had 5-6 wires coming off the back of it. How do I identify which of these is the start terminal? Or would disconnecting all of them accomplish the same thing? Thanks for any assistance.
