1996 48 spl problem

i have a 1996 48 special that starts, runs idles great smooth couldnt ask for better but when you put it full throttle it starts bogging down push choke and it opens up and goes so I removed carb cover ran motor with load in water and with finger choked bottom card at full throttle and opened right up did same with top carb and id wanted to die any suggestions

Bottom carb has a clogged high speed jet, clean it. Jet is in the center bottom portion of the float chamber.

I agree with Joe your high speed jet is clogged on the bottom carb.

If you got same result covering top and bottom carbs, I would suspect fuel starvation. Fuel pump, air leak into suction side of pump, clogged pickup screen, etc., etc.
