1996 200 venom RPM problems.

Need help, bought boat last year runs great. Can't get her past 4900RPM'S. Hole shot is perfect, put new tach in not for sure if it's reading right. The 200 is on a 201 pro xl

Is it running on all 6 cyls ? Is the tach set to position 6 ?

Has it even run higher than 4900? Should be turning 5800 if propped right and correctly set up.

Its running on all 6, sounds like it is loading up. Thought the filter could be stopped up. Have had it 5400 before. In tournament last we and ran one tank empty when i swap[ped over to next tank thats when it started acting up.

I have a 23 pitch solas on it. How do i make sure its running on all six cylinders?

I have one spark plug that looks a little fouled but is firing. Changed them out, what is the gap suppposed to be set at?
