Hello all,
Have a new to me boat (storing the father in laws boat for him for free use). I am doing the annual maintenance on it before it gets to be fishing season here in Phoenix az.

So far I have just done the trailer wheels/bearings and I was starting on the grease points for the motor.
I got the grease point for the steer pivot done (flip the trailer arm down and hit that zero)

I have a question on these tilt tube points, it seems as though I need to back out these nuts to get to them?
Does that seem right to everyone? I thought these should be fairly accessible without having to remove things. IMG_1266.jpeg

That threaded tube was an option for dual steering cables.----So yes you have to move that to grease those fittings.

Can anyone confirm to me that these are cable steer and not a hydraulic steer system? Just want to make sure before I go disconnecting things to replace these zerks

Look up a hydraulic steering system and see the cylinder it has at the motor. Do you have something like that?

Calbe steering doesn't have a cylinder at the motor.

I see the tie bar or part of a tie bar in the picture so with this information I can only assume it's a cable system. Picture from farther away would confirm.

Thanks all! It’s cable, got everything out of the way of the zeros and got it all greased up.
