1995 Yamaha 2 stroke #5msht mix ratio

Could anyone please tell me the oil gas mix ratio. Some say 100-1 others 50-1, thank you one and all.

Some will say 100-1. Some will say 50-1. Yamaha says 100-1.

And some will say 50:1 lubes more, down issue will smoke more accordingly...

oil injected motors run a lot less than 100 to 1 at idle
and letting a motor sit for long lay ups when running 100 to 1 and not fogging them to put away might run into rust in bad places

This is a simple 2 stroke 5 HP pre mix motor, no outolube system on this one...

50-1. Older Yamaha were stated 100-1. I have 3 of them currently. I always mix them 50-1 though.

I remember the days of 16/1. Folks were scared to go to 25/1 and added extra oil.

Then they went from 25/1 to 50/1. Folks were scared to go to 50/1 and added extra oil.

Now they go to 100/1 and folks are scared to go to 100/1. Adding extra oil.

Older is somewhat subjective, but one of the last small two stroke models offered by Yamaha in 2009 specifies 100-1.
