1995 OMC 3.0GS graphite exhaust elbow gaskets use what type gasket sealing compound?

Engine is new 3.0 long block. Boat is 1995 Four Winns Freedom 170. Ready to install new exhaust elbow to new intake/exhaust manifold. I will be using a new OEM restrictor plate with two new OEM 3850495 gaskets (photo attached). My 1995 OMC Cobra Engine Service Manual P/N 503168 says “Apply gasket sealer to a new elbow gasket…..” Most likely referring to OMC Gasket Sealing Compound. However while searching several posts for a related topic I stumbled upon differing gasket sealer member recommendations. Ranging from use gasket sealer, use copper based anti seize, use no gasket sealer- now I’m confused. What is the recommended gasket sealer to use (or no sealer?) when installing these gaskets to insure a leak free elbow-to-manifold joint?
