I have a 1995 Mercury 75hp 3cyl. 2 stroke charging system isn’t working. My voltage regulator was fried, you could see it burned up through the epoxy seal. Got a new voltage regulator and still no charge to the battery even at full throttle. If I have the motor running idled up a bit and I put my volt meter on the yellow leads that say ALT on the “rectifier” should I not see AC voltage? I went yellow to ground and the other yellow to ground. Then the gray wire and 2 red leads off the voltage regulator should give me 13ish volts DC towards the battery? I have no voltage that I can see. I know enough to get in trouble and it seems I should be able to determine the issue and where with a volt meter. Help!?
