I have a 1995 120 Force and replaced all electronics and power tilt motor. Also had carbs gone through and lower unit serviced. On the first run, after about 15 minutes it shut off. After getting it home I pulled the head off and found the number 4 piston blistered with no noticeable damage to the cylinder wall. How hard is it to remove the powerhead and replace this piston and could a reed valve being bad have caused this? Also, should my mechanic have seen teh bad reed valve when he serviced the carbs?
