1995 70hp Evinrude won't restart

I have a 1995 70hp Evinrude. Whenever I take it out on the water it will run fine for about an hour without problems (going from spot to spot). We stop and turn off the engine to go fishing in the next spot. When we are ready to move to a new spot it will turnover for a couple of seconds then die. Then we need to get back to the ramp with the trolling motor.

I didn't use it last summer due to flooding in the midwest, but it was winterized. I just cleaned the carbs and reassembled them with new parts. Gas is new and fresh. Batteries are fully charged too.

Any suggestions on where to look would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 1990 70hp same issue for two seasons. I tried changing the primer bulb ,i cleaned and rebuilt carbs with no luck. it wasnt till i changed the module.It was heating up and shorting out .No problems since changing last season.Ordered part from iboats,remember the module is not returnable. good luck .see if you can search my threads ,LOSTINEVINRUDE

have you check spark when it will not start? what have you checked when it will not start. we have to trouble shoot when the motor is actually messing up.
