New to me engine. Changing L/U grease. The grease coming out looked to be fairly fresh, still had its original color, not blackened nor grey with water. Both the top and lower drain plug had some super small metal shavings stuck to them, very fine. Can this be expected? I would think some might be. Have gone out a few times on test runs and L/U was not an issue, shifted well no noises at all. Thoughts on this appreciated. Thank You in advance.

normal. but when you shift into or out of gear, it is a deliberate shift, quick and fast. non of the lets listen to the gears mesh. that ruins the gears in the lower.

Thanks tashasdaddy. I appreciate your reply. I did not think it of consequence as the shavings were so small. I will however be certain to execute a deliberate shift. Apreciate your reply.
