1994 Quicksilver controls work 05 Merc?

I currently own a 1994 50hp Force and I am looking to upgrade to a 2005 75hp Mercury. Will the Quicksilver controls currently on my force work on the new Mercury? Thanks

There is a new connector type, but I think that applies to 06s. I'm thinking it'll work. Even so, there's an adapter available.
