1994 mercury 70hp force problem

started perfect today, made it out to the lake and when i increase the speed it runs for about 300 yards with no problems and then bogs down to a crawling speed. it will do the same thing over and over. New to boating but would really like some advise.

Sounds like the tank vent is closed or clogged?
Built in tank?
6gal carry on?

Check the vents?

thanks for the reply, after i posted my issue i decided to inspect all the fuel lines and found a line from the filter to the pump was a little weak possibly collapsing, so replaced all the lines. ill post if that fixed the problem when i get back to the lake.
