I recently started having trouble with an alarm going off in my boat. The boat start and idles with no alarm. The alarm only happens when going at full speed and it is constant at times but others shorter then stopping. I have no trouble with the motor as far as missing or sputtering. At full speed, if i come off the throttle just a hair it goes away. My boats top speed is around 55-60 at these speeds i get the warning horn..If i drop down to 45-50 they go away. Any ideas?

Here is a description of the "System Check Engine Monitor" from my '98 J150 OEM manual.
Not sure if you have either one of the two monitors described above but it is a good starting point nonetheless.
I can tell you from experience that my motor did the same thing and I remedied it by changing the fuel filter and cleaning the internal filter with cleaner(naptha) and light air pressure from the outside.

Had the same problems with two of these and in both cases it was fuel supply. Could be a bad pump,a partial blockage in the system, fuel lines or fittings not big enough etc.
