1994 Blue Fin Welded Aluminum Restore

I bought an Aluminum boat with half paint half aluminum and was wondering how I can get the oxidization out of the color part of the boat?

Have you tried polishing compound then wax?

Blue fin is an excellent boat.

Start with finish compound and see where that gets you,with a little elbow grease it should come out pretty good.

I would shy away from sand paper so you don't go through the paint but if the compund won't get it back try some 2000 grit wet and use a little dish soap and let the paper soak for 5-10 minutes first then sand just a little really light then hit it again wiht the rubbing compound.

I would stop there since you don't know how thick the paint is, if you go through you either live with it or strip it all off.
