I am looking to change the prop for more performance. Which style would give me more for mph. I have a 90hp Mercury Inboard and it will reach a top speed of 30mph now. Could I possible reach 40 or 45mph with a different prop?

Re: 1994 Bayliner Reflex

Ummm. Isn't that a Jet boat? Has an impeller like a jet ski? Didn't even know you could replace those. Hmmmm.

Anyway, my reason for replying is that unless the original prop was WAYYYY off, no prop change will yield that kind of top speed difference. Most boat can witness a 5 mph top speed change - but at a noticeable loss of hole shot. You really need to tune a prop to engine RPM with the usual load, not the the most MPH....

Max performance is obtained when, with an average load includine furl, your engine reaches the RPM specified in your manual at wide open throttle. Check on the Search function in red at the top of the page to read hundreds of posts on the same subject.

I just purchased my 94 reflexx and have a few questions? What is the red button for under the throttle, how many gallons is the fuel tank, I know nothing about this boat and what ever info I can get would be great.
