Re: 1993 Nissan 70 won't run

Just reading this thread as I was looking for info on an NS70A2...

From the original post, where slowing and riding out some big waves from a ferry is mentioned, has no one thought of trash being picked up in the fuel system?

You do realize this is a 3 year old thread, right?

Re: 1993 Nissan 70 won't run

mine has done the same thing. it was acting exactually the same. i toke it to a shop and they told me the cdi box was bad. i doubted it cause i had already replaced it. let them fix it anyways and first time toke it out acted up again. no throttle, backfiring, wont run. i would like to see if anyone can find me or direct me to a coil assembly that goes under the flywheel. is the only thing left. i think the trigger coil is what is bad and has been all along. have tried to test it according to the book but no luck. thanks for any help

You need to start a new thread, instead of getting into a 4-year-old issue on a different motor. What is your model/serial?

Whip out your Factory service manual, and you should be able to test the exciter coil with a good analog ohm meter. Assuming you have a 70C, the exciter is 3N4061200M EXCITER COIL 70C NEW STYLE $58.90
