thanks but its a mariner . i know merc makes them however there should be an actual service manual for mariner engines? is there not? or am i wrong?

Any pics of the actual engine ? How sore are you about it being a 1993 ?

ive done my research on the serial number enough to know thats its a 93. i do know how to read the serial number. scroll up to get the serial number. do a search its a 93.

Sorry…didn’t mean to come across as doubting you. More just trying to confirm the year…in case she was a few years earleir and might have been a Yamaha engine. Yeah…that’s a mercury engine. 6 and 8hp both almost identical apart from carb basically. Not a common engine that. The mercury manual would be an easier find

Mercury/Mariner are the same motor after the late 80s. Only difference between them is the tag that says what color to paint it and what decal package it gets. Buy the Mercury manual for that serial # and fix your motor.

engine does not need fixing. just want to get the manual is all.

The Maxrules website shows it to be a 1992, based upon your serial number. They also show the mariner and Mercury models to be identical, except for paint.
