Hello, I am new to fixing outboard motors. I was given a 1993 Johnson 4hp deluxe (model number J4RDHETB) that is in really good shape. It has good compression and spark, so I went ahead and replaced the plugs to try to run it. After a couple pulls, it started right up. I did notice a few problems, one it needs a new impeller because it wasn’t pumping water, and two it needs a new kill switch (got spark because I had to unplug the harness). I was wondering what the part number is for the impeller. I am finding a lot of stuff for 1986-1992 deluxes, would that work or is it a different part? Finally, how would yall recommend getting parts ,trying to find a dealer or website (and which website)? Thank y’all!
