Ok. I just purchased a 1993 Crownline 225 BR with a newly rebuilt 454 big block v8 and Bravo I outdrive. It definitely a project. But we would never be able to afford a boat like this all fixed up. And I love a project (my greatest dysfunction). The boat needs stringer work, new decking, some restoring of the interior (wood is rotten), and I'm going to repaint the gel coat a different color. I've been reading posts non-stop for the last several days...at the detriment of the rest of life. Friscoboater's thread has been very informative. I am definitely needing to do this on a budget (enter laughs and comments...)

I tried to post pictures but is says my boat is too large...

I knew it was a project when I bought it (obviously...) The boat has the transom redone and the stringers (halfway) redone. Upon purchase I found even more rot that needs to be torn out, and other stringers that need to be replaced. The PO scabbed some of the stringers together rather than running a long continuous stringer down the boat. Not sure how much that affects the strength of the stringers. What I'm hoping to hear is that I don't have to tear it all out and start over.

The other rot that has not been removed is the bottom of the ski locker. There is standing water under this. Also I have found rot under the "consoles"...not sure what you call them. I'm not sure how to deal with the wood under the fiberglass floor under the bow.

The motor needs to have all the accessories put back together. Is there a manual that shows me how to do this?
