1993 15HP compression test resulted in 136 psi & 138 psi

What is considered the highest compression possible ( new from the factory )

While you're running it, run a can of Engine Tuner through to make sure the Rings are free

That's pretty good for a 15. We used to get 55 out of a 35hp on a 14ft cartopper

Just a bit of info. If you were using a GPS for speed, you have to take into account any Current there is in the water, GPS is measuring Ground Speed, not Water Speed.

The additional wave speed is cheating a bit.

Sort of like when women wear push up bras.

Their titties aren't that big, or perky.

I typically get 120-ish as well




If possible, I'll run it WOT on water then test it on land
Spraying oil in the cylinders and testing compression right away is a false test. If you spray the cylinders with oil wait overnite then do the compression test.
