1992 force 150

The motor is a 1993 150h.p. Force. The motor idles fine, but above 1000 rpm's it shakes really hard and smokes more than normal. It is an inline 5 and acts like it is firing on only a couple cylinders. It does this even in neutral and will cut off if you do not throttle back. It does not seem to be a fuel problem as best as I can tell. Thanks for any suggestions

Check the spark on all 5 cyl's and check the compression.<br /><br />TMD
