I have changed the gaskets on the fuel pump. checked for spark ok

engine starts up and then slowly dies out. doesn't seem to stay running. I have the idle screw 3 turns from all the way in./ I try to adjust it but nothing happens.
could it be I have to do the carb?

or any suggestions. and does any one have the diagram for the carb so that I can use it to put it back together

Welcome mcanswer!

The idle screw is a tad out far. Screw it in till it's GENTLY seated and then back out 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns out and start there.

If you still have problems keeping it running, take some premix fuel in a spray bottle and when the engine starts to die out, shoot some premix into the carb throat. If it picks back up, you have a fuel supply problem.

Have you tried squeezing the primer bulb when it starts to die? Fuel tank vented?

Just a couple questions for you...is the engine new to you and if so, how long has it set before you got it?
