This could be a stupid question, but would anyone be able to enlighten me as to what the emergency signal light... signals?
Last night I took my 25 2 stroke out for the first time since thanksgiving, and the first time since rebuilding the fuel pump.
My impeller was shredded and the motor was fuel starved and could not make it past idle. She needs some love.
This was the first time I have taken it out at night. I noticed the red indicator light was on the entire time. When I pulled the starter cord the light came on with every rotation of the flywheel. I assumed the light should come on only if there was a problem like overheating or the auto oiler not operating. This brings me to my question: what does it mean?
I have searched yamaha's website, the interwebs, and this forum and have not found any definitive answer. I could not find a copy of the manual. I'd be greatly appreciative if someone could share what this light is meant to warn me about so I can figure out if I have an actual problem or just a ground-out wire. Thanks!
