1991 vro 200 any good?

I am contemplating buying a 22' sunbird with a 1991 johnson 200 vro and was wondering if this was a reliable motor? Any common problems or specific things I should look for? Any thoughts guys? Thanx

compression test it, check lower gear oil, test run it.
Has it been maintained?
When were carbs rebuilt, when was water pump done?
