can anyone point me to a place that sells gauges for my engine? id greatly appreciate this. thank you
gonna need fuel, water, volt, oil, speed and tach. thats if my engine has all this for wiring? i have a pdf manual for my engine. also the wiring codes so i will have to trace them and find out. right now i have speed and tach, but i dont think those work. and my pito tube will not go all the way down.... also broke. my engine is 1991 mercury 115hp 2 stroke serial number 0D080267What Guage's are you looking for?
yes it does have one on the cowling, i want one that goes on the dash, oil pressure. not oil levelExplain the type of oil gauge you want.-----Is there not an oil level gauge on the cowling ?
ok skip the oil. need water temp, fuel gauge, tilt/trim ,speed and tach.yes it does have one on the cowling, i want one that goes on the dash, oil pressure. not oil level
I agree with Chris on the selection of gauges...You need to search on outboard gauges. Faria and Seastar are some of the brands. You can buy sets of them.
I would recommend a tachometer, water pressure gauge, fuel level gauge. and speedometer. A water temp gauge is usually unnecessary on an outboard, because of it's open cooling system loop.
then inboards shouldnt need them either ( water temp)You need to search on outboard gauges. Faria and Seastar are some of the brands. You can buy sets of them.

thank you for the explanation..... now onto the next question. does it matter what gauges i get pertaing to the engine? or are they all the same. ie mercury gauges , evinrude, ect. they are not generic to any engines?Water pressure gauge is more important than water temp. If you have water pressure..... Then the water is flowing.
thats an mp3 player . i will be putting in a deck at some point but this lil mp3 player will do the trick for now. That battery monitor sounds like a good idea. I have a voltmeter but I don't have anything that shows the actual current draw on the system. Might have to add one of those myself. Glad you kept the cool old speedometer, always liked the old school style gauges best. What's the other box bottom right in the 2nd photo for?
