My engine will not run in neutral. It will start fine and warm-up, but when I shift to neutral to try to go to forward or reverse, the engine stalls. If I push in on the choke, the engine will try to continue running. Any ideas? I have changed the fuel pump and filter.

Air leaks at the fuel line connections or a dirty carb especially the idle circuit which is located under the welch plug on the carb. Good luck

Thank you. Can you please elaborate more on the fuel line connections part? Could that be from a hose that is too big or something? Also, do you know where the fuel lines go on this pump? 438559

Any place a fuel line slips on to a connector or a nipple the clamps need to be very tight so that air cannot be sucked in. On the fuel pump the large nipple is for fuel ine from tank the next one is fuel out to the carb and the last one is the pulse line connector from the engine. If I got that wrong, others will chime in. Good luck
