I have a Bayliner Capri 1700 with the Force 90hp. The motor will not idle in netraul gear. To get the engine to run in must throtle it up in netrual, if i bring the throtle control back to netrual position the motor will shut off. To get the boat to move i get the rpms up in netraul and then i quickly switch the throtle control from netraul to forward gear. I have been told to adjust the idle, witch seems simple enough but when i opened the cover i see a sticker that says "If idle is adjusted then the throtle will need to be adjusted like wise." Any advise??

There is idle speed screw that can be adjusted to control motor idle speed. Generally 800 RPM is a sweet-spot for this motor, however anything up to 1000RPM is OK as well. Do you know what RPMs your motor is stalling at?

I haven't noted at what rpm it's stalling. Where is this screw located and will i need to adjust the throtle?
