I have a 40 hp ,warm up lever I can rev up to over 5000rpm ,but if in gear I can only get 3000 rpm max ,is there an adjustment I am not seeing ,compreesion is good .
And what is the compression ?-----They will all rev up in neutral even on one cylinder !------Sounds like it only is running on 1 cylinder.---Test for spark.
Changed the coil also and thermostat ,new plugs ,disconnected the thermostat wire also ,and I think it is only on 1 clyd now that you say that ,makes sense ,.
can't check until upcoming weekend ,so thinking it is the cdi now.
