1990 OMC 4.3 Liter E.S.A Module Location..

Where is the E.S.A. Module physically mounted on the 4.3 Liter OMC...1990.<br /><br />About how large is this?

Andrew...it's usually mounted very close to the shift mechanism where the 2 cables go, the module is black and held on with 2 bolts, just follow the wires from the interrupt and overstroke switches

On my 1988 4.3 it is mounted on the port side rear of the engine, just above where the oil filter is and near the exhaust tubes where they exit the riser.

That is how it is shown in the parts diagrams, but if you look in the OMC Owners/operator manual and the shop manual, the ESA module is bolted to a bracket that is just above the oil filter, the wires run up to the esa switches on the throttle/shift linkage. I was doing an oil change last fall and found mine down there!!
