1990 Mercury Outboard

I'm looking at a couple of boats, one has a Merc 100 hp. The other has a Merc 115 hp...Both 1990 models. I would like any info regarding the reliability (or problems) with these motors....Thanks for any comments.

Both great motors (from what little I know about them). I see many on Lake Okeechobee.<br />Very important, do not buy IETHER unless you get a compression test first. This should be your main focus. And inspect the condition of the lube in the lower units,if at all possable.

Thanks for the advice...I already borrowed my niebors compression tester and keep it in my Truck. ,Ken
