1990 Mercury 115 Overhaul

I just purchased a 1990 Merc 115 that was run hot for a short time (bad water pump). The compression on the cylinders are 3 around 30 psi and one at 100 psi. What would be the minimum that will be required to get this engine back up to snuff? <br /><br />Thanks

Complete overhaul unless you want to risk having to do it all over again when it shells from replacing only one or two parts.<br /><br />

What parts would you guess would be needed and can this be done at home. I am pretty handy with tools as I have built a couple of airplanes. Boats are a new thing to me. <br /><br />Thanks<br />Mark
